Der FC Bayern hat am Samstag beim Champions-League-Finale nicht nur auf dem Fußball-Platz gegen den FC Chelsea verloren. Auch auf Twitter zog die deutsche Mannschaft den Kürzeren.

Was für ein Drama am Samstagabend beim Champions-League-Finale in München in der Partie FC Bayern gegen FC Chelsea! Nach der regulären Spielzeit, der Verlängerung und dem Elfmeterschießen musste sich der FC Bayern letztendlich geschlagen geben. Rund 300 Millionen Zuschauer verfolgten weltweit die Partie vor dem Fernseher. Die Marketing-Spezialisten von ExactTarget haben analysiert, wer bei der Partie auf Twitter die Nase vorne hatte. Das klare Ergebnis: Der FC Chelsea.
Laut ExactTarget wurden auf Twitter weiter über 1,8 Millionen Kurzbotschaften (Tweets) zwischen dem 14. und 19. Mai veröffentlicht, in denen das Champions-League-Finale im Mittelpunkt stand. Davon allein am Finaltag über 1,12 Millionen Tweets. In 73 Prozent aller dieser Tweets wurde der FC Chelsea genannt. Damit entfielen nur 27 Prozent der Tweets auf FC Bayern.

Zu den am häufigsten genannten Spielern auf Twitter gehörte mit 25 Prozent der Chelsea-Spieler Didier Drogba, der nicht nur den wichtigen Ausgleich zum 1:1 kurz vor Ende der regulären Spielzeit schoss, sondern auch den letzten Elfmeter im Elfmeterschießen zum 3:4 verwandelte und kurz nach Ende des Finales zum wichtigsten Spieler der Partie gewählt wurde.
Der wichtigste Tweet des Finales war der Tweet "WE ARE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!!! #CFC" , der wenige Sekunden nach Ende der Partie im offiziellen Twitter-Kanal @chelseafc und über 7500 Re-Tweetet wurde.
Auffällig an den Zahlen von ExactTarget ist, dass vor und während des Finales nur sehr wenige Tweets über das Spiel in deutscher Sprache verfasst wurden (3,39 Prozent auf Deutsch vs. 68,94 Prozent auf Englisch).
