BF:BC2 - R8 Client und R12 Server Patch kommen Leider kommt kein Game raus, welches wirklich einigermaßen als "fertig" bezeichnet werden kann, so auch bei DICE' Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Nun wurde angekündigt, dass sich der nächste Patch schon in der Qualitätsanalyse befindet. Und dieser Patch hat es auch gleich ziemlich in sich: Satte 500MB wird er wiegen und schraubt den Client auf Version R8, während die Serverversion auf R12 angehoben wird. Bazajaytee kündigt im offiziellen BF:BC2 Forum an, dass der Client- und Serverpatch gleichzeitig released werden sollen, womöglich schon in der kommenden Woche. mehr... Beim Server sollen neben anderen Optimierungen nun bis zu 10.000 Einträge in der Ban-Liste möglich sein, auch an den Latenzen bei der Paketverarbeitung wurde geschraubt. Beim Clienten wurden DirectX-9 Fehler behoben, die zu gelegentlichen Crashes oder Grafikfehlern führten. Ebenfalls wurden diverse Crashes analysiert und deren vorangegangene Fehler gefixt, außerdem wurde der Vsync-Bug unter DX10/11 behoben. Weiter wurden einige Optimierungen am Gameplay durchgeführt, Helikopter lassen sich beispielsweise nun besser steuern. Auch der Serverbrowser und das Admin-Interface erfuhren kleinere Updates.
