Der Entwickler Gearbox Software stellt jetzt die Klasse des Gunzerker aus dem Ego-Shooter Borderlands 2 etwas genauer vor.

Bei dem Ego-Shooter Borderlands 2 werden mehrere Klassen zur Auswahl stehen. Eine davon stellten jetzt der Lead Writer Anthony Burch und der Lead Designer Jon Hemmingway jetzt in einem Gespräch mit dem Magazin IGN etwas genauer vor - den Gunzerker.

Wie der Name bereits erahnen lässt, handelt es sich dabei um eine Klasse, die schwer bewaffnet in eine Art Berserkerrausch verfallen kann. Befindet sich Der Gunzerker in einem solchen Zustand, kann er temporär zwei Waffen gleichzeitig führen. Jeder erfolgreiche Abschuss eines Gegners verlängert die Dauer dieses Berserker-Modus, was ihn vor allem im Kampf gegen große Gruppen sehr interessant werden lässt.

Des Weiteren gaben Burch und Hemmingway bekannt, dass der Gunzerker auch taktische Elemente ins Spielgeschehen bringt. So kann er beispielsweise in der einen Hand eine Schockwaffe führen, mit deren Hilfe er die Schutzschilde der Gegner zerstören kann. Mit einer Feuer-Schrotflinte in der anderen Hand kann er den dann schutzlosen Widersacher rösten. Insgesamt wird der Gunzerker aus drei Kategorien von Fertigkeiten wählen. Darunter befinden sich unter anderem Fähigkeiten, die den Berserker-Modus verbessern. Aber auch Tank-Talente werden zur Auswahl stehen.

Außerdem verrieten die beiden Männer am Schluss des Interviews, dass die Siren-Klasse in Borderlands 2 ihr Comeback feiern wird. Allerdings werde sich deren Gameplay sehr anders und neu anfühlen. Konkrete Details nannten die Entwickler nicht.
